We cater for all skillsets. We will have plenty of time for practice and get you to point where you will feel confident with the process.
We have a wide range of materials for you to pick from. You're welcome to source your own leathers and bring them with you. With footwear you can use a lot of different types of materials but some work better than others, for leather please ensure it isn’t too thin or soft/large. It needs to be between 1mm-1.4mm. Cow or horse hides works best. If you want to use fabric or synthetic material it will need a heavier cotton driller backer ironed on. If in doubt bring it with you and we'll take a look.
We'll provide everything you'll need on the day. Have a think about your design — on enrolling we'll be in touch to see what you had in mind. We provide all leather, but if you'd like to something you've found yourself you're welcome to.
Shoemaking is a craft and requires skill and patience, all we ask is you bring a positive attitude to learning and we'll help you with the rest.
Yes. We're flexible as long as all workshop fees are paid before the workshop starts. If you'd like to setup a recurring payment running up to your course please get in touch.
The age limit is 16 and above.
If 14 or 15 please get in touch. We have had students as young as 14 that have been more than capable. Although the course does require high levels of concentration as well as handling heavy machinery and knives.
